Sometimes we have to sink down into the depths of ourselves and find the places that need healed and renewed. This is the time when we feel at our most vulnerable & empty.
This is the time when someone needs true support and steps of encouragement. Life does get better and there are ways and people that help. It takes a little bit of knowledge of what is going on and what to do about it next.
What have your emotions been telling you? This is one of the most powerful steps to starting from where you are. We’re taught to think of what is going on in our environments, our relationships and our situations and try hard to think of ways to solve our problems. While that is all true to a point, first, we need to take a step back and scan our bodies for what is truly going and where. Are you feeling any strong emotions? Are you feeling any discomfort in your body? These places have a message and when you go deep into them you’ll get a sense of what that message is. We tend to tense up and go on about our days. But this leads to us snapping from subtle forms of frustration, aggravation or keeps us locked into a state of alienation and separation from low levels of depression.
Getting clear on what your feeling can raise your energy. When we look at the emotional guidance scale we see that the lower levels of feelings or emotions keep us in a fog, states of confusion and no energy. When we admit what is going on, face it, and be real with the situations we gain a clarity that gives us an increased energy. This guides you up higher on the emotional guidance scale. When you’re at low levels of energy, simply by getting mad about the situation will give you an increase. It also gives you a clarity that will give you passes to higher states of energy on the scale. No matter where you are on you journey, if you’re at low levels give yourself permission to feel it. Give yourself permission to get upset over it. Watch your mind become more clear as your energy raises through the emotions. Getting upset can give you access to the next levels of freedom from your low energy state.
Do you have people in your life that support you? Do you have anyone that you can talk to?
Talking about it with someone who understands can give you the guidance or steps that might give you the direction that you're seeking. Low levels can keep us feeling alienated and like no one understands. This seems true when we’re not ourselves. But don't give up and seek someone to talk with. Find an accountability partner who will keep up with you and make sure that you’re doing what you say you’re going to do. Leaning on friends is something that you’re aloud to do and entitled to. Who can you think of that will give you the support that you need?
We are creatures with needs but most of us ignore or don't really know what we need, individually or collectively. We’re all learning this life game together and depending on who you have in your life you’ll get different ideas on what healthy and balanced living is. The majority of us are taught to ‘just to it’ or to be active in our lives and that is what creates health for our future. This is true if you have a regular exercise routine that keeps you fit and doesn't interfere with your life to a point where you’re consumed by the results on a material level. Healthy exercise is beneficial if you have a healthy goal or vision for your over all health and how it incorporated into your day.
As far as work goes, we’re taught that we have to keep working to pay for our basic needs and that is our motivation to keep doing things in our days that we don’t really want to do or that cause us our burn out & and unhealthy situations. When we take the time to analyze why we work: Do you love your work? Do you feel satisfied? Do you feel stressed? Are you creative and excited? These answers are the key to your health. If you stuck in the ‘grind’ and you don't know what is causing your to be unhealthy because you’re used to working... consider that the stress (subtle to chronic) is causing you to burn out. This is a major issue to consult yourself on because once you’re burnt out, you’re done in the game. And it takes a long time to get healthy after a major illness.
So, do yourself a favor. Relax now! Make time for yourself so that you can begin to incorporate new lifestyle choices that aid in your relaxation. Take a week off. Stay in your bed and do nothing. Pretend that you’re sick and that you have to learn to rest in order to get well again. This will help you to see the difference in the subtle stresses that you feel during the day, pinpoint what they are and see how to minimize them. Stress is a killer. It’s the major cause of all diseases. We’re not born here or designed to live in the kind of stress that most of us experience. Take time to adjust your life so that you have a stressless routine. If you have chronic stress, you’ll benefit from the understanding of what it feels like to live stress less. When you feel like you're extremely overwhelmed, its good to take time off, in any form you can. Just be with yourself and let life go for a while.
This is one of the major stressors in our societies. The systems set up for us to gain the financial assistance to purchase our basic need: food, shelter, clothing...
Do you have an income? Do you know what you want to do with your time and make the kind of living that you want to have the kind of lifestyle that you want? How many hours do you want to work? Do you know what you want in you life as far as material possessions go and do you know what traps are out there that keep us at low levels of existence? Most of the population is living in a rat maze with out proper understanding of what we’re living for. We’re being told do on many levels, by our parents and family, by our society... Most don't know that they have a choice. A choice for what? A choice to create the life that the want, through their creativity and imagination. When we relax and take the time to get clear on what we want we’re given a potential to tap into that provides clear steps on what to do that will make our dreams come true. Knowing yourself and what you want to live for will send you in the right direction towards making the financial means that take you in the right direction of your dreams. Until then, get a job that covers your basic needs. Then, here and there start planning for your dream job.
Do you have a degree that you can go back to school and finish? Would you like to finish up those professional courses so you can get certified or licensed? In today’s world we value credentials but that’s not always necessary. If you know what you love and are able to live it and speak about it... that will take you a lot farther. But if you want to know more about what you love, any kind of education, even if its studying at home, will give you the clarity on what you’re living for. What are your passions? What would you love to try this lifetime? This is your life! What can you do to make the most of it? What do you need to learn to live that life of your dreams?
Take a look at what you’re doing. Are you living the way that you know creates balance and health? What are you doing to yourself that might sabotage your life? We all know that a healthy lifestyle is best but when we’re at low levels of energy it’s hard to remember what it is that we should phase out of our life. Most of the time, what we need to phase out is what is keeping us low. We justify our ‘bad’ habits so that we can continue to do them. They’ve ‘protected’ us and kept us a comfort zone of our own making. Often people deny that they need to change things became the leash from these habits are so strong. Negative habits keep us stuck in cycles of low level living. This is the place where we convince ourselves that it will be too hard to change, but that’s only because most of the time the awareness of the detox or withdrawal seems too scary to bare. We don't see that there is a different life full of healthy alternatives. A way to start to live better with more positive habits is to check yourself. Set up a plan that will take a few weeks. A bootcamp that will slowly incorporate healthier options. Think about the things that you do to yourself that you know are unhealthy. If there are certain habits that you deny as unhealthy consider slowing trying with out them to see a notable difference. What are you depended on? What people in your life are not healthy influences and that will keep you stuck in the same patterns of negative doing and thinking?
Remember, you want to not settle for less then the life that you were born to live. You have all that you need inside of you and that is all that you need to count on. You’ll get the steps in your path once you start to appreciate your body as the most amazing machine or as your temple. You have something that you came here to do? What is it and what are the things that are holding you back.
